Data flow is the route that data takes between external beings, processes and data stores. Its sequences of digital signals transfer energy like a wave: direction-oriented with little or no associated mass transport.
Datamorphosis is a kinetic installation that undergoes a constant change of its physical appearance by visitor’s interaction. The sculpture visualizes the invisible data flow that is operating in the background of our technical devices. Contrary to a biological metamorphosis, the sculpture experiences reversible hand-powered transformations.
