Experimental Labor: Can´t Touch This

Drop of Light

Drop of Light

A smooth, milky glob, settled on a plane, a desk. A shape that is not quite defined, not yet final – still in process, still flowing where she one time will find rest. A touch though and there is fire, a ball of light forming inside, wandering, wavering, floating here then there, adventurous yet calming. Like a tiny star, a sun awoken to life. Embracing it, a warmth coming from her center is felt, flooding from fingertips through veins to body and soul. A movement and the little sun moves, wavers to the side, inertia at first, then decision. Her presence is felt, a spirit sensed, yet she is beyond human, beyond terrene. She awakens when touched, but when no longer called, may fade.
